Tambola / Housie Game Rules

Learn how tickets work, how numbers are called, and how to claim winning combinations in our app.

1. Game Objective & Ticket Structure

Tambola (also known as Housie or Bingo 90) is played with numbers from 1 to 90 called out one at a time by the caller. Players cross off numbers on their tickets as they are called.

• Grid Format: Each ticket has 3 horizontal rows and 9 vertical columns.

• Number Distribution: Each row contains 5 numbers and 4 blank spaces (15 numbers per ticket).

• Column Ranges: Col 1 (1–9), Col 2 (10–19), Col 3 (20–29) ... up to Col 9 (80–90).

Standard Winning Claims

Early 5 / Jaldi 5

The ticket that crosses off any 5 numbers first from the caller’s draw.

Top Line

Crossing off all 5 numbers located in the top horizontal row first.

Middle Line

Crossing off all 5 numbers located in the middle horizontal row first.

Bottom Line

Crossing off all 5 numbers located in the bottom horizontal row first.

Full House (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

Crossing off all 15 numbers on a single ticket. Multiple Full House claims can be assigned in order of completion.

In-App Automated Claim System

In our Tambola Digital App, claims are automatically verified against the server-side number caller log:

Instant Verification: When you press a claim button (e.g. Top Line), the app verifies if all required numbers were called up to that moment.
Bogus Claim Protection: If a claim is invalid, it is marked as "Bogus" to keep games fair and accurate.
Auto-Sync: Number calls and ticket updates sync across all players in the room in real time.
